Sustainability

Sustainability in practice in our corporate culture

Our vision “Together for a safe future” combines sustainable growth with the responsible use of resources.

We want to make a difference both within our company and have a positive impact beyond it. For us, sustainable development goes far beyond merely adhering to environmental standards. It requires equal consideration of the three main areas: environmental, social and responsible corporate governance.

Only by looking at these areas together and in a balanced way can we meet the needs of today’s generation while at the same time laying the foundations for a livable and fair future.

Our decisions are guided by our sustainability strategy, which is based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and, derived from these, on the Swiss Securitas Group Sustainability Charter. The following strategic priorities show how we put sustainability into practice.

Sustainable action begins with the responsible use of resources.

Environment

We reduce our environmental footprint by lowering our resource consumption while promoting recycling.

We reduce our resource requirements through the targeted testing and efficient use of technological innovations. At the same time, we promote the transition to renewable energies and the use of recyclable materials. Optimised building and site management helps us to lower energy consumption. We aim to continuously reduce our energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions over the long term.

Ongoing digitalisation is helping us to reduce our consumption of resources and thus also the volume of waste. We are also lowering emissions in the area of mobility thanks to remote services. We increase eco-efficiency throughout the entire life cycle of our products in order to promote sustainable value creation.

Social responsibility means empowering people and creating security. Within the company and in society.

Society

We create lasting added value both internally and externally for greater social security – as a committed and collaborative company.

With encouragement, openness to diversity and a responsible approach to the needs of our employees, we put our social engagement into practice in our daily interactions. We support our employees in their personal development through targeted training opportunities. As a company in the safety and security industry, occupational safety and health protection are our top priorities.

Regular training and awareness-raising measures strengthen our safety culture. We are proud of our “Great Place to Work” and “Great Start” certifications and are actively committed as a training company. We train future generations in a variety of professions, including IT, electronics, automation, logistics and commercial fields.

Sustainability is also important to us outside the company. This is why we are involved in projects that contribute to the social security of the population. We actively involve our employees in the selection of these projects and enable them to participate directly on site.

Responsible leadership is reflected in clear structures, transparent communication and sustainable action.

Corporate governance

We run our company with a transparent, solution-oriented and proactive approach using clear standards, efficient processes and resilient partnerships.

We promote our sustainability culture through transparent communication, regular reporting and targeted training. This strengthens understanding of the processes, interconnections and effects of our actions. This awareness forms the basis for living sustainably in both our professional and private lives.

Our transparency is also strengthened by regular assessments by EcoVadis, an internationally recognised platform that assesses companies in the areas of environment, work and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement. In doing so, we demonstrate how firmly the concept of sustainability is anchored in our actions, and clearly affirm our commitment.

Our integrated management system enables us to identify potential for optimisation in processes and derive targeted measures from this. Energy and material consumption can be recorded and improved. Complex relationships and influencing factors can also be clearly illustrated, which promotes more efficient and sustainable processes. We use documented control loops to make changes traceable.

A systematically managed management system ensures that we consistently comply with both internal and external requirements in the areas of quality, environment, information security and occupational safety and health. Our certified management systems in accordance with ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, ISO 27001 for information security management and ISO 45001 for occupational health and safety support us in this regard.

To guarantee a high level of product and service quality, we, as a manufacturer, ensure compliance with the international REACH and RoHS standards and, as an installer, with the national standards of the Swiss Association of Security Systems Installers (SES) and the Association of Cantonal Fire Insurers (VKF). To the certificates.

We strengthen the resilience of our supply chain through long-term, trusting partnerships and forward-looking supplier management.

We use targeted inspection systems and regular audits to ensure that defined standards are adhered to. Ethical principles are an integral component of our corporate management. In addition, we adapt our warehouse concepts flexibly in order to remain operational even when framework conditions change.

This also includes the prompt fulfilment of all financial obligations to our partners. Our strong payment record and financial stability are reflected in the Dun & Bradstreet rating.
