Your four-year apprenticeship in electronics is completed in collaboration with ICT Berufsbildungscenter AG in Bümpliz. As leaders in the security market, we are keen to train professionals in the field of electronics.
You spend the first eighteen months at the vocational training centre. The basic training imparts skills such as switching and measurement technology, production technology, printed circuit board design, microcontroller technology and Windows programming. You then come to our service centre for a six-month assignment, where you test modules, produce small batches and carry out repairs. After that, you return to the vocational training centre for three months to prepare for the partial exam, which counts towards your qualification process. You spend the last two years of your apprenticeship in the laboratory of our development department, where you apply the production techniques you have learned and participate in order handling and projects.
Once you have successfully completed your electronics training, you can undertake further training as follows:
- Technical vocational baccalaureate vocational examination or higher vocational school (Technician HF) in a field of study such as: leadership (industrial foreman), manufacturing technology, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, electronics, multimedia electronics, telematics, mechatronics, IT, product and process design, business administration
- University of applied sciences (Engineer FH / Bachelor of Science BSc) in a field of study such as: mechanical engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, microtechnology, medical technology, mechanical engineering IT, business administration
Your four-year vocational training course in automation is completed in collaboration with the regional Junior Business Team at login. As leaders in the security market, we are keen to train professionals in the field of automation.
You spend the first two years in login’s Junior Business Team. The basic and supplementary training imparts skills such as production technology (assembly, wiring, etc.) and automation (measurement and control technology, switching). At the end of the second year of your apprenticeship, in June, you sit a key partial exam. You spend the third and fourth years of your apprenticeship applying your acquired skills at our offices in Bern (at the headquarters in Zollikofen), Zurich, Basel or St. Gallen in the areas of plant engineering, customer service, small plant engineering, and video and access systems. You create instructions and technical documentation, plan and manage small projects, monitor, build and test electrical control systems and commission the systems on customers’ premises. You also carry out maintenance work and check the functioning and quality of the security systems.
Once you have successfully completed your automation training, you can undertake further training as follows:
- University of Applied Sciences (Engineer FH / Bachelor of Science BSc) in a field of study such as: electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, telematics, mechatronics, IT, medical engineering, business administration / industrial engineering
- Higher vocational school (Technician HF) in a field of study such as: electrical engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, IT, business administration/industrial engineering, Swiss Federal Diploma of Higher Education (HFP), foreman in switchgear engineering, industrial foreman in mechanical and apparatus engineering
- Federal vocational examination with federal certification: Automation Specialist, Project Manager in switchgear construction
Your four-year IT apprenticeship with a major in application development is completed in collaboration with ICT Berufsbildungscenter AG in Bümpliz. As leaders in the security market, we are keen to train professionals in the field of IT.
The first year of apprenticeship offers a broad foundation of knowledge and skills at the vocational training centre and in various inter-company courses. This preparation will give you the tools you need for your other years of apprenticeship. The second to fourth years of the apprenticeship are spent in industry in our IT, hardware and software engineering and development departments. Here you will gain an in-depth, comprehensive insight into day-to-day professional life as an IT specialist, work productively and take an active part in projects.
Once you have successfully completed your IT training, you can undertake further training as follows:
- Technical vocational baccalaureate
- Federal vocational examination or higher vocational school (Technician HF)
- University of Applied Sciences IT Specialist FH / Bachelor of Science BSc, Business IT Specialist FH
We offer three-year foundation vocational training (VET) in the services and administration sector in profiles E (advanced) and M (baccalaureate). The training takes the form of practical assignments in various areas such as our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Operational Accounting, Purchasing and Sales International departments, and in the Bern office. There is a wide variety of duties: writing letters and reports, writing quotes and orders, processing orders, initiating settlements, recording payments, receiving telephone calls, providing information, forwarding documentation and information to national and international customers, organising meetings and events.

During the three-year apprenticeship, we offer interesting deployment opportunities – for example, our apprentices work in incoming goods/quality inspection, in order picking, in forwarding (goods dispatch), in the courier service for our Bern office and in purchasing. In addition to attending vocational school, you also attend five compulsory inter-company courses (in Marly or Rupperswil), during which you gain further technical knowledge over a period of a few days. Exciting topics such as goods receipt, storage and order picking, training to become a forklift truck driver, goods distribution, occupational safety and warehouse management are dealt with and put into practice.
Once you have successfully completed your training in logistics, you can undertake further training as follows:

Your three-year ICT apprenticeship is completed in collaboration with Berufsbildungscenter AG in Bümpliz. As leaders in the security market, we attach great value to training skilled professionals in the ICT sector.
In the first year of your apprenticeship, you will learn the basics at the vocational training centre and gain a solid foundation of specialist knowledge and practical skills. This knowledge is supplemented in inter-company courses so that you are optimally prepared for the following years of apprenticeship. In the second and third years of the apprenticeship, training takes place in the IT department at Securiton. Here, you will gain a comprehensive insight into IT operations, work productively on IT processes and actively take part in projects.
After successful completion of the training, various further training opportunities are open to you:
- Technical vocational baccalaureate
- Federal vocational examination or higher vocational school (e.g. Technician HF)
- University of applied sciences in the area of IT/computer science (e.g. Bachelor of Science BSc)
