CCU – United Breweries Company relies on Securiton's aspirating smoke detector

CCU – United Breweries Company is a diversified beverage company with operations in Chile and Argentina. CCU is Chile's largest brewer and third-largest soft drinks producer, as well as Argentina's second-largest brewer.

It is also Chile's second-largest wine producer, largest mineral water and fruit concentrates bottler, and one of the country's largest producers of pisco (the local grape spirit), as well as a main player in the confectionery industry.
Moreover, CCU owns Plasco S.A., a firm specialising in the manufacture of bottles and plastic boxes. CCU's diverse product portfolio includes its own, as well as licensed and imported brands. It maintains licensing agreements and/or joint ventures with Brouwerijen BV Heineken, Anheuser-Busch Incorporated, PepsiCo Inc., Paulaner Brauerei AG, Schweppes Holdings Limited, Guinness Brewing Worldwide Limited, and Société des Produits Nestlé S.A. CCU is currently updating its fire-detection systems, and therefore asked Securiton, through one of the latter's representatives in Chile, to undertake this project. The task includes installing the latest ASD 535 aspirating systems to protect the wineries and power facilities.
