Securiton protects AMAG's new prestigious premises

When it comes to Swiss car dealerships the measure of all things is currently to be found in Dübendorf. It was here that Switzerland's largest garage, AMAG RETAIL Autowelt Zürich, started up its operations at the end of March. AMAG's new "beacon" is not just ultra-modern, it's also huge: one-and-a-half football pitches in size, it boasts a building volume equivalent to 200 one-family houses and a showroom surface as large as seven double gym halls, providing ample space to showcase the AMAG brands VW, Skoda, Audi, Seat and VW commercial vehicles.
Securiton AG was commissioned to install a suitable video surveillance system for these prestigious premises. A recording and management server is used to obtain a perfect view of every strategically important aspect, based on 18 ultra-modern network dome cameras with remote-controlled focus and zoom functions.
AMAG is also playing it safe at its Schaffhausen site where it has operated one of the city's largest garages since 1957. With space at this central location right next to the railway station starting to run out, AMAG is working on creating more room with new premises. Besides the garage itself it is also building office space, an underground car park and numerous apartments. Securiton is protecting the entire complex, which is scheduled to open next year, against both fire and intrusion. More than 500 combined smoke and heat detectors and more than 50 manual call points are there to ensure that there is no chance of a fire breaking out. And the SecuriTel Safe intrusion alarm system makes sure the building has a professional protective shield to guard it against unwanted intruders. Finally a video surveillance system with a recording and management server and eleven fixed dome cameras maintains an overview of the entire picture.
