Switzerland's newest and most up-to-date ice stadium is in Zug. Replacing the old Herti stadium, the Bossard Arena was opened to great fanfare in August 2010. Its main function is as the home ground of the EVZ Eissportverein Zug ice hockey club. The new development incorporates a customised safety and security concept for the EVZ's games.
