First modern shopping mall Portanova

The town of Osijek is located in eastern Croatia, close to the border with Serbia. With 120,000 inhabitants it is the country's fourth largest city and also the economic and cultural centre of the region of Slavonia. Its first modern shopping mall, Portanova, has just been built on the outskirts of the city. The shopping centre was designed by the renowned international firm of architects Chapman Taylor and boasts 40,000 square metres of retail space and parking for 1,600 vehicles. Numerous outlets and restaurants offer shopping and entertainment on three floors. Some 1,500 employees ensure that the futuristic shopping mall makes a valuable contribution to the region's economic development.
The clients commissioned Tehnomobil d.o.o. to supply and install the security systems on the strength of its professional presentation and good references nationwide. They also opted for the SecuriPro modular fire alarm system from Securiton as the system of choice for fire detection and overall emergency systems control, due to its flexibility and optimum price-performance ratio. Around 2,800 SecuriStar-type combined smoke and heat detectors, 500 Manual Call Points and 580 emergency control elements provide the best possible protection against fire, making for a safe and enjoyable shopping experience at the new Portanova Shopping Centre.

Tehnomobil d.o.o. is Croatia's leading company in the areas of security technology, building and risk management. The company was founded in 1990 and is domiciled in Zagreb.
