The new Estación Terminal de Ómnibus de Neuquen bus terminal in Argentina is the most modern building of its kind in Latin America. The terminal has a spacious waiting room and a shopping mall with an array of shops and stores. There is also a restaurant seating 450 guests where travellers can enjoy a meal or refreshments. The terminal is always busy, which is why the client felt it was very important to ensure quick detection in the event of a fire. Together with its Argentine partner CDSYS S.R.L. Securiton was able to convince him to install the flexible universal aspiration smoke detector ASD 516 to satisfy this requirement, rather than beam detectors. Six ASD 516s have now been installed at the bus terminal. The aspiration smoke detector systems were equipped with filters to ensure that exhaust emissions do not trigger false alarms. The shopping area and the office premises are equipped with a SecuriPro fire alarm system and more than 200 fire detectors.
